Thomas de Haas

Thomas de Haas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Thomas is currently the Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder, and Board Member at Interface Fluidics since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer, Co-Founder, and Board Member at the same company from March 2016 to November 2021.

Thomas also worked as an In-School Mentor at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada from October 2016 to 2018. Thomas has experience in the energy sector, having worked at Suncor Energy as a Reservoir Engineer in various capacities from July 2013 to March 2016.

In addition, Thomas has also worked as a Photographer at Adjacent Photography from June 2014 to March 2016. Thomas pursued their education at the University of Toronto, where they were a Graduate Student from January 2011 to June 2013.

Thomas gained early experience in the engineering field through co-op roles at WorleyParsons, Dynetek Europe GmbH, Dynetek Industries Limited, and Colt Engineering from 2007 to 2009.

Thomas de Haas has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria, which they obtained from 2005 to 2010. Thomas then pursued a Master of Applied Science degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2013. In 2014 to 2016, Thomas attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and completed a Photography Certificate of Achievement. Prior to their university education, they obtained a high school diploma with a partial International Baccalaureate (I.B.) program at Sait Mary's High School from 2002 to 2005.
