Angelica Alston has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Angelica started their career in 2005 as a Student Aide at Friendship Public Charter School, where they supervised and tutored elementary school children. In 2006, they worked as an Admissions Counselor at GWU Office of Undergraduate Admissions, assisting in the recruitment and application process for prospective students.
In 2008, Angelica became an AmeriCorps Member in the AmeriCorps Heads Up program, teaching basic primary lessons to kindergarten children. Angelica also worked as a Library Circulation Assistant at GWU Himmelfarb Library, managing the library's front circulation desk and maintaining book organization.
From 2009 to 2010, Angelica held various roles at different organizations. Angelica was an Administrative Intern at the DC Rape Crisis Center, where they assisted with daily operations and administrative tasks. Angelica also worked as an Administrative Assistant at GWU Office of Alumni Relations, providing customer service and assisting with administrative projects. Angelica Alston completed their education in a chronological order. In 2002, they graduated from Friendship Collegiate Academy and obtained their High School Diploma. From 2006 to 2010, they attended The George Washington University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. In 2018, Angelica enrolled in Trinity Washington University's Master's Degree Program in School Counseling and completed it in 2019. Additionally, they obtained certifications as an Interfolio Certified Faculty Search Administrator in November 2021 and as an Interfolio Certified Review Promotion and Tenure Administrator in June 2022.
