Richard G. Jones

Richard G. Jones, Jr., SPHR, currently serves as the HR/Safety Manager for the Perry-Preston Divisions at Interfor, a leading lumber producer with a rich history in the global forest products industry. With extensive experience in human resources and safety management, Richard's previous roles include HR & Safety Manager at Tolleson Lumber Company, President and Owner of Layne Business Consulting, and Director of Human Resources at IHR-Macon Marriott City Center. Notably, Richard held the position of VP-HR, Corporate Safety at C.T. Harris, Inc., where strategic initiatives resulted in significant cost savings. Richard began a career in various operational roles, including Plant Manager at Harris Construction Company and Operations Manager at Georgia-Carolina Quality Lubricates. Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law Studies from Mercer University.
