Eman Abdelazem is an accomplished environmental researcher and climate expert with extensive involvement across various organizations since 2015. Currently serving as an Environmental Researcher at GOPP and a Lead Author for Chapter 12 of the IPCC's Seventh Assessment Report, Eman is also engaged in multiple roles, including as a Member of the Africa Task Team for WCRP Regional Information for Society, Team Leader of Research for AfriClimActiv, and Strategic Networking Partner for Africa Industrialization Group Inc. Further contributions include consulting for ECCSCO's climate change initiatives, participating as an Expert for UNFCCC and MedECC, and serving on the American Meteorological Society's Board on Urban Environments. Eman holds a PhD and Master's degree in Urban Climate from Cairo University and is currently undertaking a fellowship with the African Group of Negotiators, focusing on women’s leadership in climate governance.
