Tyler Leighton

Tyler Leighton currently serves as a Health Unit Coordinator at InterMed, P.A., where responsibilities include safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) and ensuring HIPAA compliance for over 100 patients daily, as well as executing Lean Six Sigma workflow assessments to enhance operational efficiency. As a member of ASIS International, Tyler contributes to the field of security. Previously, Tyler was a Senior Special Agent/Certified Explosives Specialist at the ATF from 2007 to 2022, leading numerous investigations into fraud and violent crime while managing contractors. Earlier experience at the Bangor Police Department spanned from 2001 to 2007, focusing on public safety and law enforcement. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maine and graduate certificates in Explosives Technology from Missouri University of Science and Technology and Forensic Science & Technology from Oklahoma State University.
