Clay Ashdown

Clay joined Intermountain Health in 2000 after working at the public accounting firm of KPMG. Over his career at Intermountain, Clay has held a number of financial leadership positions in a variety of areas. As the Chief Financial Officer, he has accountability over all finance and related functions for the enterprise. This includes finance operations, financial planning, accounting and internal audit, debt and credit management, rating agency/investor relations, payer contracting, revenue cycle, risk management, construction, and real estate. He also oversees Intermountain Ventures, LLC.

Clay is originally from Wyoming but moved to Utah to attend college. He graduated with a degree in Accounting and a Minor in Russian from the University of Utah. Clay also earned his MBA at the University of Utah. He lives with his wife, Laurie, in South Jordan, Utah, and they have four daughters.
