Yun Layton has extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on leadership roles. Yun began their career at Philips Digital Video System as a Software Engineer in 1998. In 1999, they joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a Senior Software Engineer. Yun then transitioned to Myriad Proteomics/Prolexys in 2001, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer for four years. In 2005, they joined Tomax Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer Manager, a position they held until 2008. Since 2008, Yun Layton has been working at Intermountain Healthcare as a Principal Software Engineer.
Yun Layton's education history begins in 1992 when they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University in China. Yun completed this degree in 1995. Following that, from 1995 to 1996, Yun Layton attended the Chinese Academy of Science, where they pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science, though it is uncertain whether they obtained the degree. Yun then shifted to Utah State University in 1996 to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science, which they obtained in 1998. In 2022, Yun Layton obtained two certifications from Microsoft, both as a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
