Richard T. Lunger

Richard T. Lunger is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Division Counsel for Criminal Tax in the Office of Chief Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service since June 2020. Previously, Richard held the position of Senior Counsel to the Chief at IRS Criminal Investigation from January 2013 to January 2014. Richard also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Deputy Chief of the Asset Forfeiture Unit at the United States Attorneys' Offices from January 2002 to January 2013. Richard earned a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania between 1986 and 1990.
