Sydney Nash is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public affairs, policy management, and regulatory reform. Currently serving as the VP/Director of Public Affairs at the International Alliance for Responsible Drinking since June 2020, Sydney leads multilateral strategies to mitigate the harmful use of alcohol and collaborates with global partners, including the World Health Organization. Prior roles include Senior Policy Manager at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, where Sydney spearheaded political engagement strategies related to Brexit and automotive policy, and multiple leadership positions at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, focusing on EU competitiveness, regulatory negotiations, and financial reporting. Sydney also founded Bounce, a charity dedicated to providing recreational opportunities for underprivileged children, and has held advisory positions within the European Commission and the UK government.
