Steven Gardiner

Steve Gardner currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the International Association for the Study of Pain, a global organization based in the US, focusing on pain relief efforts worldwide. With a rich background in leadership roles, Gardner has held positions such as Senior Advisor at NorthStar Policy Navigation and Interim CEO and Permanent CEO of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, overseeing significant operational changes and large-scale events. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at the Corn Refiners Association and Crosby-Volmer International Communications, as well as Vice President roles at US Pharmacopeia and The Aluminum Association, where Gardner implemented digital transformations and communication strategies. Gardner’s career began in public affairs at Shandwick Public Affairs, and educational achievements include a Master's degree in Communications from the University of Louisiana Monroe and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maine.
