Melissa Mahoney, CAE (she/her/hers) has a diverse work history spanning different roles and industries. Melissa currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), a position they started in July 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer at IAAP from September 2014 to July 2022.

Before joining IAAP, Melissa worked as a Finance Accounting Manager and later as Assistant to the Controller at an undisclosed company from August 2011 to September 2014 and from December 2008 to August 2011, respectively. Additionally, they gained experience as an Accounting Assistant at the same company from January 2006 to December 2008.

Earlier in their career, Melissa worked in the education sector as a Montessori Teacher at Belmont Montessori from October 2004 to December 2005, and at Genesis Montessori from August 2002 to October 2004.

Prior to their foray into the education sector, Melissa worked at Children International as a Sponsor Services team member from February 2000 to August 2002.

Throughout their career, Melissa has displayed a range of skills and expertise in various fields, ultimately culminating in their current role as the CEO of IAAP.

Melissa Mahoney, CAE, obtained their Certification in Montessori Education from NCME, where they studied from 2002 to 2004. Melissa also holds additional certifications, including the Certified Association Executive (CAE) from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, which they obtained in June 2015.
