IACIS is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to training, certification, and peer support in the field of digital forensics. Our organization is operated by motivated volunteers who are accomplished in the digital forensics community. HISTORY 1990 – Founded 1990 – First training event took place in Oregon 1995 - Training relocated to Orlando, Florida 2005 – First European training (Germany) 2012 – Accredited by FSAB (Forensic Specialties Accreditation Board, Inc.) as a certifying organization FACTS: • The Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) program is a strenuous “Peer Reviewed” and “Certified” process. • We have trained examiners from 66 countries. • We have held training courses in the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. • Continually developing advanced education programs, including Windows Forensic Examiner, Cyber Incident Response, Mobile Device Forensics, Lab Management, and Lab Accreditation courses. • Vision Statement: To be the premier organization of choice for the digital forensics community by providing membership services, training, internationally-recognized and accredited certification, and peer support. • Purpose and Mission: IACIS is dedicated to the training and certification of the digital forensics community in support of its membership.
