Sara Mitchell

Sara Mitchell is an experienced labor relations professional currently serving as an Arbitration Specialist at the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers since May 2023. Prior to this role, Sara spent nearly nine years at SEIU Healthcare, advancing from Senior Organizer to Lead Union Representative, where responsibilities included representing members in the long-term care sector, grievance mediation, and collective bargaining. Sara specializes in dispute resolution, member engagement, and leadership development and has an extensive knowledge of various labor-related legislation, including the Labour Relations Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Labour Studies from Brock University, completed in 2014.
