Caitlin Fennessy

Caitlin Fennessy serves as the Vice President and Chief Knowledge Officer at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) since March 2019, leading the organization's Research Team in creating content that enhances the understanding of global data protection impacts. Previously, Caitlin held the role of Senior Privacy Fellow at Access Partnership, where strategic consulting focused on privacy and cross-border data flows. Additional experience includes serving as the Privacy Shield Director at the U.S. International Trade Administration and as a Policy Advisor within the same agency, contributing to the Data Flows and Privacy Team. Caitlin has also taught International Privacy Law as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Maine School of Law and UNH School of Law. Educational qualifications include a Master's of Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Policy from Northwestern University.
