Katy Kreiger, CIPM, CIPP-US, CIPP-E, has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Katy began their career as a Substitute Individual Aide at Milton Elementary School in 2004, where they provided assistance to students in various subjects and facilitated hands-on learning experiences. From 2005 to 2010, they worked at the Shelburne Museum, initially as a Visitor Guide and School Programs Guide, showcasing historic demonstrations and maintaining exhibits. Later, they took on the role of Administrative Assistant, facilitating data collection, creating presentations, and overseeing interns and fellows.
In 2011, Katy worked as a Circulation Assistant at Champlain College, responsible for managing student support services and maintaining library records. Katy then joined the Museums of Old York in 2012 as a Communications Manager, handling membership tracking, fundraising, and donor correspondence.
Since 2013, Katy has been affiliated with IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, where they held the positions of Corporate Membership Coordinator and Corporate Alliance Consultant. Katy'sresponsibilities included customer service, database management, and liaising with corporate members.
In addition to their varied work experience, Katy also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Vermont from 2008 to 2009, teaching undergraduate seminars on US history and early Europe. Through their experiences, Katy has demonstrated their ability to multitask, manage databases, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to the growth and improvement of organizations in various capacities.
Katy Kreiger, CIPM, CIPP-US, CIPP-E, has a strong educational background in history. Katy earned their Masters Degree in History from the University of Vermont from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. Degree in History from St. Michael's College between 2000 and 2004. In their earlier years, Katy completed their high school education at Mount Mansfield Union High School, where they received a diploma. During their time in high school from 1996 to 2000, they focused their studies on History, English, and Latin.
In addition to their educational achievements, Katy has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Katy received the "Compassionate Directness" certification from LinkedIn in March 2020. In November 2016, they achieved the "Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Elementary (Estimated)" certification. Katy is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), which they obtained from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in June 2015. Likewise, they hold the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification, which they obtained in April 2019. Furthermore, Katy achieved the Certified Notary Public certification from the State of Vermont, Secretary of State in February 2011.
