Lisa Leone Boms

Lisa Leone Boms is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in educational and organizational outreach. Currently serving as Senior Manager for IB Educator Certificates and Recognition Communication at the International Baccalaureate, Boms leads critical outreach strategies, strengthening partnerships with over 50 universities globally. Previously, Boms held multiple leadership roles at MITRE, notably as Head of Communication & Stakeholder Engagement, where significant internal communication initiatives were implemented, and as Head of Digital Strategy and Content Marketing. Additional experience includes positions at American University, the National Association of Home Builders, and various other organizations, showcasing a strong background in strategic communication, digital marketing, and community engagement. Boms holds a Master’s degree in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from American University.
