Carol Smyth

Carol Smyth is a seasoned professional in the fields of cognitive therapy and lactation consulting, currently serving as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist at Psych Health since October 2023 and as a CBT Psychotherapist at Northern Health and Social Care Trust since July 2021. With extensive experience as an IBCLC since November 2015, Carol has also worked as a CBT Therapist at Belfast Cognitive Therapy Centre Ltd and as a Breastfeeding Counsellor with La Leche League Ireland, both roles continuing until February 2024. Previous work includes positions in project management and software development across various organizations, including Fujitsu and Allstate Northern Ireland. Carol holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy, Counselling and Psychotherapy from Belfast Cognitive Therapy Centre Ltd, along with a Master’s in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Queen's University Belfast.
