Thuraya Alawwa

Thuraya Alawwa serves as the IBCLC country coordinator for the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®) and operates a private practice as a lactation consultant since July 2017. Previous experience includes teaching chemistry and science at Mayar International Schools from September 2021 to June 2023 and August 2018 to June 2020, respectively, as well as working as a lactation consultant at Istishari Hospital from January 2016 to September 2016. Thuraya's educational background features a PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Jordan, expected to be completed in August 2024, along with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Petra and a Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Jordan. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree in Foods, Nutrition, and Related Services was obtained from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
