Craig West

Craig West serves as a Principal Associate and Managing Editor for the World Tax Journal and Doctoral Series at IBFD, a position held since May 2016. Additionally, West has been an Adjunct Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town since January 2002, encompassing roles such as Head of the Department of Finance and Tax and Senior Lecturer. West has contributed to the European Association of Tax Law Professors as an Associate Member since June 2017 and was involved with the UCT Tax Unit for Fiscal Research from January 2015 to June 2021. Previously, West served as Secretary General and Executive member of the International Fiscal Association South Africa from May 2014 to May 2020 and worked as an Academic Trainee at Ernst & Young from January 2000 to December 2001. Academic achievements include earning a PhD in Taxation from the University of Cape Town from 2007 to 2009.
