Alexander Westphal

Alexander Westphal serves as Senior Director in the Market Practice and Regulatory Policy team at the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) since June 2015, concentrating on repo, collateral, and post-trade activities. Prior experiences include serving as Director and Associate within the same team at ICMA, and as Policy Adviser for the European Central Securities Depositories Association, where responsibilities included coordinating public policy initiatives related to the EU CSD Regulation. Alexander's professional journey began with a traineeship at the European Commission and an internship at PwC. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe and a Diplom in Economics from the University of Konstanz.
