Mariana Yazbek

Mariana Yazbek is a Senior Scientist and Genebank Manager at ICARDA, with a career spanning over a decade at the organization since December 2013, progressing through various roles including Scientist, Associate Scientist, and Post-Doc. Prior to ICARDA, Mariana served as faculty at the American University of Beirut from January 2010 to November 2013. Educationally, Mariana holds a PhD in Botany with a focus on Plant Systematics from Cornell University, obtained between 2003 and 2010, and a Master of Science in Plant Sciences from the American University of Beirut, completed from 1994 to 2001.
