Alison Morley

Alison Morley has extensive work experience in photography and education. Alison has worked as a Photography Book Editor, Consultant, Coach, and Educator for various magazines and newspapers since 1986. Their responsibilities have included staff positions as a photo editor or Photography Director, freelance consulting, editing monographs, and lecturing. Additionally, they have worked as a Photography Coach and Educator at JAMPIX since 2019. Alison has also had a significant role at the International Center of Photography since 2000, where they have been the Director of International Programs, leading workshops and teaching in various global locations. Alison has also served as the Chair of the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism Program. Prior to that, Alison worked as a Photo Editor for the NYT Sophisticated Traveler Magazine from 2000 to 2005.

Alison Morley completed their high school education at Boston Latin School, where they focused on photography. Following this, they attended ArtCenter College of Design from 1975 to 1978 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in photography.
