Sérgio Guerra currently serves as Dean of FGV Direito Rio, following a decade as Vice-Dean, with notable achievements including leading the School to first place in ENADE/2018 and the XXIX Examination of the OAB (2019). Guerra is a Full Professor of Administrative Law in both undergraduate and graduate programs, and has been instrumental in establishing Brazil's first master's program in Regulatory Law. Additionally, Guerra leads the "Regulação em Números" project, focusing on regulatory knowledge production and dissemination. Active in arbitration, Guerra holds multiple positions, including memberships at the Tribunal de Contas da União, International Chamber of Commerce, and various Brazilian arbitration centers. Educational qualifications include a doctorate in Economic Law from Universidade Gama Filho and a visiting researcher role at Yale Law School.
