Luvuyo Gqeke

Luvuyo Gqeke currently serves as the Permanent Representative of South Africa on the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Luvuyo Gqeke accumulated significant experience in aviation security, serving as Executive: AVSEC and Senior Manager: AVSEC Training and Certification at the South African Civil Aviation Authority from February 2013 to October 2023. Earlier, Luvuyo held managerial positions focusing on cargo and hub operations security at South African Airways from November 2008 to January 2013, and managed air cargo security at the South African Civil Aviation Authority from February 2005 to November 2008. Luvuyo Gqeke holds a BCOM degree in Management from the University of South Africa.
