Benjamin Salas Kantor

Special Assistant To The President at International Court of Justice (ICJ)

Benjamin Salas Kantor is currently serving as an Associate Legal Officer at the International Court of Justice since April 2023 and holds a position as a Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School, where Benjamin co-instructs an advanced research practicum on the International Court of Justice. Prior legal experience includes roles as an International Lawyer at Foley Hoag LLP, advising sovereign states on public international law and arbitration, and serving as Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Chile, focusing on international law. Benjamin has also lectured at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, coached a moot court team, and provided legal advice in high-stakes international disputes during tenure at the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Public International Law from Columbia Law School and studies at The Hague Academy of International Law.
