Alan Keenan

Alan Keenan is a Senior Consultant at the International Crisis Group since September 2006, focusing on Sri Lanka. Currently, Alan serves as a Senior Analyst and Sri Lanka Project Director at The London School of Economics and Political Science, while also contributing as a Visiting Fellow, researching international organizations' roles in gender and transitional justice in Sri Lanka. Previous academic positions include Visiting Assistant Professor in Peace and Conflict Studies at Bryn Mawr College and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Alan has also lectured at Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley. Academic credentials include a PhD in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Politics and Language from Amherst College.
