Ginger Jacobs is an experienced analyst currently working with the International Crisis Group since November 2019, focusing on U.S. advocacy and research. Prior to this role, Ginger served as a Senior Assistant to the President and a Research Associate at the same organization. Ginger's experience includes a position as an Associate for East and Southern Africa at Chemonics International from May 2019 to November 2019, and an extensive tenure in the United States Senate from September 2016 to May 2019, serving as Executive Assistant and Deputy Scheduler to Senator Brian Schatz, as well as Staff Assistant to the same senator. Academically, Ginger holds a Master of Arts in Global Security Studies with a concentration in Strategic Studies from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, supplemented by a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.
