Nnamdi Obasi is an experienced professional in conflict analysis and policy advocacy, currently serving as a Senior Adviser for Nigeria at the International Crisis Group since August 2013. In this role, Nnamdi leads research, policy development, and advocacy efforts focused on conflicts, insecurity, and peace initiatives in Nigeria. Prior to this position, Nnamdi held the role of Senior Analyst at Safer Africa Security Support Group from 2011 to June 2013, where responsibilities included security and risk analysis as well as training facilitation. Nnamdi's background also includes a tenure as Senior Analyst at the International Crisis Group from August 2006 to July 2010, focusing on conflict research and analysis in Nigeria. Additionally, Nnamdi served as a Senior Research Fellow at the National Defence College of Nigeria from March 1997 to July 2006, coordinating research on peacekeeping and humanitarian affairs in West Africa, as well as small arms and non-state armed groups.
