Niaz Shinwari

Niaz Shinwari serves as the Chief of Party/Project Director at International Development Group LLC (IDG) since January 2025, leading the Technical Assistance Project for Economic Growth (TAP EG), a $58 million USAID initiative focusing on sustainable economic growth and capacity building. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID/FAST Project at DevTech Systems, inc, where Niaz oversaw technical management in various economic governance areas. Previous positions encompass Senior Consultant at Counterpart International, Program Management Specialist at USAID with a focus on a $2.7 billion grant agreement, Economic Advisor/Director of Finance at Adam Smith International, and various key roles in public financial management with the Ministry of Finance and UNDP. Niaz holds a Master's degree in International Development Policy from Duke University and a B.Sc. in Economics from the International Islamic University Islamabad.
