Sidney Leclercq

Sidney Leclercq has extensive experience in the field of democratic governance and international development, currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) since September 2022, following a role as Partnerships Officer in the same area. Prior experience includes working as a Policy Analyst and Team Lead on Policy Reform at OECD-OCDE from October 2019 to July 2022, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université de Montréal. Academic credentials consist of a Ph.D. in International Relations from Université libre de Bruxelles, complemented by a Master's Degree in European Studies and a Bachelor's in Political Science. Leclercq's work encompasses aid effectiveness, transitional justice, governance, and civil society support, with contributions both in academic research and as a consultant for various development cooperations, including the Belgian Development Cooperation.
