Jim Gibson

Jim Gibson, CEcD, CGFO, MEDP, currently serves as the Executive Director of the Rockdale Municipal Development District since July 2021 and is an active member of the IEDC Certification and Education Committee for the International Economic Development Council since October 2020. Previous roles include Assistant City Manager and Economic Development Director for the City of Center, Texas, where responsibilities included developing community and marketing materials and coordinating business attraction efforts. Jim has also held positions such as City Manager for the City of Pittsburg and City Administrator for the City of Jefferson, significantly contributing to budget management and regional services. Educational qualifications include ongoing doctoral studies in Development Economics and International Development at The University of Southern Mississippi, a Master's in Economic Development, and a Master's in Public Administration, among others.
