Danya Chaikel

Representative To The International Criminal Court at FIDH - International Federation for Human Rights

Danya Chaikel is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in international criminal law and human rights. Currently serving as Co-Chair and Co-Vice Chair of the War Crimes Committee at the International Bar Association since 2017, Danya Chaikel also represents the International Federation for Human Rights at the International Criminal Court. Additional roles include consulting for various organizations such as the Coalition for the International Criminal Court and Women's Initiatives for Gender Justice, as well as leadership positions with the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and the UNODC. Danya Chaikel holds a Juris Doctor degree from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women's Studies from the University of Victoria, alongside completion of a certificate course on genocide and international law.
