Fatia Maulidiyanti has a diverse work experience in the field of human rights advocacy. Fatia is currently the Vice President at FIDH - International Federation for Human Rights, a position they started in October 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Coordinator at The Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (KontraS) from June 2020 to July 2023. In this role, they oversaw a team of more than 30 staff members and worked on various aspects of human rights advocacy, including litigation, campaigns, research, and capacity building. Fatia also established platforms for collaboration with youth, indigenous peoples, and other civil society groups.
Before their role at KontraS, Fatia worked as a Lecturer at Indonesia Jentera School of Law from July 2017 to June 2020. Fatia also held the position of International Advocacy at The Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence from November 2014 to June 2020. In this role, they engaged with numerous international organizations, advocated for human rights issues at the national, regional, and international level, and collaborated with UN human rights mechanisms.
Additionally, Fatia has experience as a Consultant at ECPM, where they worked on campaign and policy-making related to the death penalty. This role involved engaging with public officials, academics, religious leaders, and civil society organizations. Fatia also conducted research on the situation of death-row inmates in Indonesian detention centers. During their time at ECPM, they conducted research and investigations in eight prisons to assess the conditions and rights of inmates.

From 2010 to 2015, Fatia Maulidiyanti attended Universitas Katolik Parahyangan, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs.
