Julia Doublait

Julia Doublait has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Julia began their career as a Press and Communications Assistant at the Consulate General of France in 2008. Julia then worked as a Legal Assistant at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in 2009. In 2010, they served as a Lawyer Assistant at the Cabinet d'avocats Bennouna & Menzel.

Moving forward, Julia worked as a Protection Officer at the Office francais de protection des réfugiés et apatrides (OFPRA) from 2011 to 2013. Julia then transitioned to the role of Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where they worked from 2013 to 2017.

In 2018, Julia took on the position of Business Analyst - sub-Saharan Africa at Diligencia Consulting Limited. Julia also worked as a Consultant at the Regional Durable Solutions Secretariat (ReDSS) from December 2018 to March 2019. Julia continued their consulting work as an International Consultant at FIDH -Fédération internationale des ligues des droits de l'Homme from January 2019 to March 2019.

In 2019, they joined UN Women as an International Consultant, focusing on the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund. Currently, they serve as the Deputy Head of Africa Desk at FIDH -Fédération internationale pour les droits humains, beginning from November 2021.

Julia Doublait attended Paris-Pantheon-Assas University from 2006 to 2007, where they earned a Master's degree in Public International Law. Julia then pursued further education at Ecole de formation professionnelle des barreaux de la Cour d'appel de Paris (EFB) from 2009 to 2010, earning a Certificat d'aptitude à la profession d'avocat (CAPA) in Law.
