Ombretta Baggio

Ombretta Baggio is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement, humanitarian action, and health communication. Currently serving as Senior Advisor for Community Engagement and Accountability at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) since September 2021, Ombretta provides leadership in community-centered approaches and strategic planning for disaster recovery and resilience, particularly in the context of the Syria Earthquake. Previous roles include Global Coordinator of Risk Communication and Community Engagement within a collaborative service for COVID-19 response, and Senior Advisor roles focused on public health emergencies and humanitarian efforts at IFRC. With a solid foundation in Communication for Development from UNICEF and UNAIDS, Ombretta has been pivotal in empowering civil society and enhancing community health systems.
