Luis Maldonado

Luis Maldonado is a highly experienced professional in climate finance and digital financial services, currently serving as a Senior Advisor/Consultant in Climate Finance and Sustainability at the International Finance Corporation since June 2017, and as a Digital Finance Senior Consultant at The World Bank since March 2019. Maldonado has also held an academic position as a Professor at IE Business School since January 2013 and is the Managing Director at the PwC-IE Business School Financial Sector Center. Additional advisory roles include positions at Beka Finance and HeyTrade, where Maldonado serves as a Senior Advisor and Co-founder, respectively. Previous experience includes strategic roles at Bankia, PwC, and the International Monetary Fund, and board memberships at Rebellion Pay. Maldonado’s extensive education encompasses a PhD in Economics from Universidad de Alcalá and various advanced degrees and certifications from prestigious institutions such as Georgetown University and The London School of Economics.
