Christopher Lavallee is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the food and flavor industry. Currently serving as Sr. Principal Engineer at IFF since March 1999, Christopher focuses on the design and scale-up of innovative processes as part of the company's transition towards new product development. Previous roles at IFF included Director of Delivery Systems in Process R&D and Director of R&D Process Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed process design and engineering for flavor and fragrance products. Before joining IFF, Christopher worked at McCormick & Company, where achievements included process improvements for vanilla extract and optimization of kola extract manufacturing. Early career experience at Campbell Soup Company involved research in thermal processing and aseptic methods. Christopher holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Food Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with management education from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
