Melanie Smith

Melanie Smith is an experienced leader in the fragrance and body care industry, currently serving as the Creative Center Director for Fine Fragrance & Body Care at IFF since August 2018. Melanie has successfully led and developed the Scent Technology & Innovation team in Singapore and has held various senior technical roles throughout a career that began at Firmenich in April 2001. With expertise in managing fragrance development processes, promoting new technologies, and overseeing technical teams, Melanie has consistently driven innovation and quality in both fine fragrance and body care categories. Educational qualifications include a DEA in Biotechnologie from Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon and an Ingenieur degree in Biotechnologie from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse.
