Natnael Behabtu

Natnael Behabtu currently serves as the Global Technology Director for Enzymatic Polysaccharides Applications at IFF, a position held since February 2021. In addition, Natnael holds advisory roles at GlycoMIP and UNCTAD since early 2021 and 2020, respectively. Prior experience includes a tenure as Global Technology Leader in Biomaterials at DuPont from February 2012 to February 2021, and as a Research Investigator at Rice University from August 2006 to January 2012, following a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering earned from Rice University in 2010. Natnael also completed a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bologna. Notably, a research scholarship at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology was undertaken in February 2010, focusing on the analysis of nanostructured materials using electron microscopy. Natnael's educational background also includes an Erasmus exchange at University College London from September 2004 to June 2005.
