Rajalakshmi Nirmal

Rajalakshmi Nirmal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agricultural policy and communications. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager for Rethinking Food Markets at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) since April 2023, Rajalakshmi has previously held significant roles at the World Bank in Public Policy Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement for the Agriculture Global Practice, and as a Communications Specialist at the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition. Prior to that, Rajalakshmi spent over a decade as Commodities Editor at Business Line, focusing on India's agricultural policies and macroeconomic analysis. Educational qualifications include a Master of International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and an MBA in Finance from the University of Madras.
