Dr. Donal Brown, MRCVS, CBE, serves as Associate Vice President of Programme Management at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since May 2018. Prior to this role, Dr. Brown held various director positions at the Department for International Development (DFID) from 1990 to 2018, including Director for East and Central Africa, Director for Global Health and Education Funds, and Director of the UK Inter Agency Ebola Task Force. Dr. Brown's expertise encompasses global health, education, and humanitarian programs, with significant contributions to major international health initiatives. Educational credentials include an Honourary Doctorate in Social Justice from the University of Winchester, a postgraduate diploma in Public Leadership and Management from the University of Warwick, a master’s degree in Tropical Animal Health and Production from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bristol.
