Sherina Tabassum serves as the Country Director for the Maldives and Sri Lanka at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since January 2017, having previously held the role of Country Programme Officer where responsibilities included country portfolio management, stakeholder management, and policy representation. Prior to IFAD, Sherina Tabassum was a Project Management Specialist at USAID Bangladesh, focusing on governance issues, and held various positions including Program Officer at USAID Timor-Leste and Project Director at the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute. Sherina Tabassum's earlier experience includes an executive role at the Australian High Commission and a technology support position at Beximco Textiles. Sherina Tabassum is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Development at Independent University, Bangladesh, complementing a Bachelor’s degree in Management and International Relations from Webster University.
