Amna Mahmood

Amna Mahmood is a seasoned policy economist currently serving at the International Growth Centre since October 2021, with prior experience as a country economist. Amna's career includes significant roles at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan, starting as a senior research associate and advancing to programme and project manager from October 2016 to September 2021. Additional experience includes a graduate consultant and business and education intern position at the United Nations Global Compact and a research associate role at the Assessment and Strengthening Program under USAID. Early career highlights include a fundraising executive position at Lahore University of Management Sciences and roles as portfolio analysis manager and research analyst at MCB Bank Limited. Amna holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University, attained from 2014 to 2016, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Mathematics from Lahore University of Management Sciences, completed in 2007.
