Fiona Rowley

Fiona Rowley is an experienced financial and executive leader with a diverse background in public sector finance and management. Currently serving as the Executive Director at International IDEA since June 2018, Fiona has previously held significant roles such as Interim Finance Operations Manager at Heriot-Watt University and Deputy Chief Electoral Officer at the Electoral Commission of South Africa, where responsibilities included overseeing a substantial budget, managing a finance team, and ensuring compliance with financial legislation. Fiona’s earlier experience includes senior positions at PwC as an Independent Consultant and Senior Manager, focusing on audits within the health sector and local government, as well as roles in statutory audits at District Audit and KPMG. Fiona holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
