CEO and Co-Founder at International Institute for Analytics

Jack Phillips is the CEO and Co-Founder of the International Institute for Analytics. Jack has over 25 years of experience in product development and strategic planning in a variety of industries.

Jack began their career in 1994 as a strategic planner for McGraw-Hill. Jack then moved to ISI Emerging Markets Group (Internet Securities) in 1995 where they became the Product Development Leader. In 1998, they joined Thomson Reuters (CCBN) as the Product Leader and was responsible for directing all product development of the IR Online product. Jack also contributed to the development of the StreetEvents product. Jack left Thomson Financial in 2000 to co-found Institute for Applied Network Security (IANS) with current business partner, Steve Weber. Jack served as the CEO & Co-Founder of IANS from 2001 until 2010 when they sold their interest in the company.

In 2011, Jack co-founded the International Institute for Analytics with Steve Weber and big data pioneer, Tom Davenport. The Institute is a research and advisory firm focused on helping organizations leverage big data and analytics to achieve competitive advantage.

Jack Phillips has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and German from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School.

Some direct reports include Bill Franks - Chief Analytics Officer, David Alles - Vice President, and Lisa Klapp - VP, Finance.
