Barbara Kreissler

Barbara Kreissler is the Head of Communications and External Relations at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) since June 2023. Previously, Barbara served as the Director of Global Public and Government Affairs at Signify from April 2016 to August 2021, where responsibilities included stakeholder management on energy, climate change, and sustainable development. Barbara also worked at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) from April 2000 to March 2016 as the Head of the Business Partnerships Group, establishing UNIDO as a significant partner for the private sector and leading negotiations for over 40 partnerships with major multinational companies. Additional experience includes consulting roles with Deloitte's Emerging Markets Group. Barbara holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University.
