Dmitry Schepaschenko is a Principal Research Scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) since November 2007, specializing in the full carbon account of Northern Eurasia, global terrestrial biomass monitoring, remote sensing application, and forest modeling. From 2004 to 2015, Dmitry served as a Professor in the Soil Science Department at Moscow State Forest University. Dmitry obtained an Engineer degree in Forestry from Moscow State Forest University between 1983 and 1988 and later earned a Ph.D. in Forest Soils from the Dokuchaev Soil Science Institute from 1989 to 1992.
