Peter Williams

Regional President, Asia Pacific at International Justice Mission

Peter Williams is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in legal and humanitarian fields. Since September 2010, Peter has served as the Regional President for Asia Pacific at International Justice Mission (IJM), leading efforts to protect vulnerable communities from violence across six countries. Prior roles at IJM include Global Vice President of Program Excellence and Principal Advisor for Modern Slavery, where Peter established global counter-slavery strategies and enhanced public justice systems. Earlier in the career, Peter was the Field Office Director for both IJM Cambodia, focusing on labor trafficking, and IJM Bangalore, addressing bonded labor issues. Prior to IJM, Peter worked as a Crown Prosecutor at Meredith Connell, handling criminal trials, and co-founded the Equal Justice Project. Peter holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (hons) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature and Political Philosophy from the University of Auckland.
