Melawit Weldegergis

Melawit Weldegergis is a dedicated Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer at the International Labour Organization since May 2025, bringing extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation from previous roles. Melawit served as the National Programme Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at IOM - UN Migration from August 2023 to May 2025, and as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at the Norwegian Refugee Council from May 2018 to August 2023, where Melawit also held the position of Program Manager. Melawit's career includes working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with GIZ Ethiopia and Djibouti from November 2016 to May 2018, as well as with the Tigray Youth Association/USAID from June 2013 to November 2016. Melawit holds a Master of Arts in Developmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, both from Mekelle University.
