Peter Bellen

Peter Bellen serves as the Chief Technical Advisor at the International Labour Organization since November 2020, previously holding the same position at ILO Yangon from January 2018 to September 2020. Prior to these roles, Peter worked as the Youth Employment Solutions Advisor at Plan International’s Asia Regional Office from July 2016 to December 2017, and as a Long Term Adviser and Component Manager for TVET at Cardno Emerging Markets from November 2012 to December 2015. Peter's career began as the Country Coordinator for the Philippines with Kindernothilfe, e.V. Germany from January 2006 to November 2012, focusing on support for marginalized children and communities. Peter also served as the Executive Director at the Bicol Center for Community Development from January 1999 to August 2003, managing technical vocational education and entrepreneurship programs. Peter holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies, specializing in Human Resources and Employment, from the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, obtained between 2003 and 2004.
